I know its boring - the saga of my eyes but after the lovely comments and emails I had I thought you may wish to hear I have been!! I have been tested and ..................................................yes...............I need glasses!! No surprise there then ;) I have picked out some sexy black rimmed ones but as its only for close up work I shan't really be showing them off - unless you all want a pic?? Also my darling Elli needs them for th complete opposite reason - she needs them to see the white board (opposite to black board!!) so they are making her little bi-focals - and they look so cute on her!!

It was actually ok - the test and everything but its scary when you see how far your eyes have deteriorated although apparently for 10 years (yep thats how long I went in between) its not bad just .5 but I could really see a difference - do you think it will make a difference to my work??

Don't neglect your eyes Jo, they are your most valuable tool. At least you are at an age when you can benefit from good eye care. After you reach 40, it seems that eyesight deteriorates rapidly, especially when you work in this field. I am, ummmmm, well past that, and 10 years ago I didn't need glasses. Now, I need varifocals ALL the time, with a stronger prescription every 2 years. Three pairs at a time is a huge expense! So well done on taking action now. And I reckon glasses are the new black! (So does my 19 y/o son - design student - who has just given in and gotten his first, drop dead smart, Osiris pair). Welcome to the club!
Honestly I don't know how you've been making such fabulous jewelry - not being able to see perfectly! I Agree with Nia - after 40 MY eyes went to hell in a hand basket. Last time I went to get new glasses I got bifocals for work and driving - and a separate pair just for close up work. And now - a year and a half later - they aren't strong enough. No fun!
I think your work couldn't possibly improve as it's always perfect! I'm sure those new glasses will match your fabulous look just beautifully as well!

I had the same thing about 6 months ago got my eyes tested and found I needed glasses, I actully quite like wearing them now, that bracelet is fab, the coils r brill, Krista x

oh sweetie I am sure you both will look super awesome, I neglected my good eye (can't see out of the other one) and now I have to wear glasses all the time (although I don't) ugh never learn.
