Double Countdown!

SOLD
Double countdown - one day until the party and 2 days until my silver course begins!! SO Of course I'm beavering away trying to get inventory and pricing done and hoping I have enough stock for everybody!! Its not something I enjoy - the inventory I mean - I much prefer the creating the preparation and paperwork is just something that has to be done!

SOLD

I thought firstly I would show you a couple of commissions I've been working on. The first a very chunky charm bracelet with Caroline Hannons beads creating the starting point, with lemon quartz, citrine, silver, and swarovski crystals. The second is a chunky chainmaille bracelet with crystal quartz focal to signify 15 year anniversary - and it looks delightful on (Congrats Clare and Ian) Now I'm going to show you something I have never done before - use gold - I actually used Gold Vermeil which is 24k gold over sterling silver so I haven't strayed too far off the path and don't panic I won't be changing my alliance lol !!!

But don't they look warm and inviting!! I have used Gold rutilated Quartz and citrine - which adds to the warm look - these earrings are so dainty too!

So comments please :D

Wednesday

Ooops

I so meant to post yesterday!! We are planning a little trip to Bath and can we get a hotel room - you must be joking! So instead of showing my new pieces I was searching the web for 2 rooms (One family one) in Bath city centre! But I'm here now!

SOLD

This bracelet is one of my favourites, artisan beads by Isabelle Anderson with gemstones and silver! The colours just pop and look incrediable - sadly this bracelet is reserved already! This little beauty is still up for sale -of course she will be coming to the party on Friday - artisan beads by Caroline Hannon - its got a ethnic feel to it with the bali beads and clasp.

SOLD

Another view of Fiji and I really must add some new goodies to the website later if I get time!!

Monday

50 Lengths

Why the title I hear you all ask??? Well today is my swim day with my lovely Mum - my Mum suffers from Polymyalgia which is an arthiritis of the joints - its supposed to stay with you until your body learns to fight it - my poor mum has had to cope with it for 3 years now and although she has cut her steriods down to one a fortnight today she was stiff and in pain and a swim always relieves it!! And yes I did my 50 lengths!!!

THis necklace is made with labrodite nuggets, silver and Caroline Hannons beautiful artisan beads - the blue flash in the stones is almost like peacock blue - that shimmer between blue and purple and I used Carolines beads to enhance this flash. ITs a long necklace, one to wear with higher necklines and I am rather proud of this one!!

Sunday

Sore!

Bet your wondering at the title of this post - well yesterday E bought round some bikes to try (his mate is selling them) so because Elli loves riding the trail ( special bike trail near to where we live) we thought it would be great fun to all ride our bikes!! It was great fun but I'm a little sore and tender in a certain area today - I suppose that's what happens when you haven't ridden a bike for about 6 years!! Please someone tell me it doesn't last!!

At the moment I am selling earrings like hotcakes - it must be the season for decorating your ears!! I'm almost - (I said almost!) struggling to keep up but hey I love a challenge! I have a party on Friday -(hello Ally if you are reading this!) and then my silversmithing course is on Saturday and Sunday so busy busy here - might need Monday off!

The top earrings are a beautiful purple Chariote (perfect with all the purple in the shops!!) and the second ones are Amazonite with Karen Hill Tribe Silver - aren't they cute! Thirdly are beautiful hammered silver discs by Alison Raposa hung on solid chain - very light!
Last but no means least are beautiful opal earrings (again silver discs by Allison)

Friday Feeling

Ohhh what a lovely morning , my new jump rings arrived ready for me to get moving with some more of my favourite weave bracelets - for anyone who loves chainmaille (especially if you make it) check out The Dragonfly Company not only was the communication fabulous (I am on a tight schedule here!) but everything arrived as promised - and the packaging was beautiful - so a big thumbs up to Lynne!! So of course more chainmaille maybe tomorrow lol

Of course everyone who knows me and my work understands how important my surronding are and I'm not talking about how messy my desk is either! I'm talking nature and these beautiful faceted Jasper beads really do say Autumn don't you think? The faceting just gives them that added extra - a little sparkle to take you into the evening.

SOLD

And a pair of earrings to match are obligatory!!! These headpins are made by a UK girl living in the US - a very talented lady called Allison Raposa who as soon as her website is up and running I will definately be adding her link for you all to drool over her designs!!

Hair day!

Can you believe it On Tuesday I forgot my hairdressers appointment! Now anyone who knows me will say its not the sort of thing I would ever do, you see my hair is my favourite part of me! Luckily Helen, my hairdresser knew its a one off - we laughed about my appointment card being hid underneath a pile of beads and we had it rebooked for today - so tonight I feel revived and pampered - noo wonder my friends thought my hair had grown!!

This necklace was inspired by the lovely talented Jennifer Casady - it wasn't a conscious desicion but when it was finished it so reminded me of her work (I think her work is more glamourous and elegant!) I named her Closely Linked though after Rosie who thought up the name at my last jewellery party and because I have so much in common with the lovely Jennifer (my love of her jewellery and her love of my beady box!!!) I thought the name was apt - so here's to Jennifer and Rosie!

Wednesday

Boudica

Never mind I don't like Monday, I don't think I particulary like Wednesdays either! Why? I hear you ask, well Wednesday doesn't really give me much time to play with my beads, I work in morning (for E) then I watch Elli swim with the school , pick up from school is straight after (you still with me!) and then after homework and a light dinner we are off to Rainbows - now normally I would be then off to Pilates but I'm not feeling too good , my ears are aching and crackling and I feel I need a night off everything - including my beads eeek!

I have got a few goodies to show you though :) and I'm hoping after the gym to make something else for your perusal - fingers cross some of my supplys arrive though. But for now I'm having a night off (well after the hoovering yuk!)

See you tomorrow xx

Amber Moon

SOLD
Sorry first for leaving you all in the lurch these past few days - its not like me really I prefer to post at least every other day if not every day, but I had nothing to show you. Stock was low and I was desperately waiting for a silver order to arrive before creations and designs could flow again - but hurrah it came and so did the ideas!!!

Another reason for my missing posts was not only did I have my party on Friday night but Saturday was an evening out with the girls (they lead me astray honest!) and Mar's Birthday party which was lovely - shame I suffered Sunday really!!! My E has also been away playing in a golf tournament and he actually won so he's going to be going to Germany next year to play in the World final!! How proud am I??

Many pieces have now gone to new homes so I will be extemly busy for the next two weeks I think before the next party starts!!

The weather is still beautiful here in Cornwall - I wonder by buying my new Ugg boots I've set a jinx on the weather - so of course everyone needs to thank me for the sunshine ;0)

Its been so nice to actually still be able to put Elli in her summer dresses - she loves being girly!

OK back to it - and I promise to start showing you new pieces asap

Thursday

Almost ready!

SOLD

I've been finishing off for the party on Friday - and yesterday after finishing some earrings I was sooooooooo tired I couldn't think past by bed so thats why there was no post yesterday. I'll use this post to show you some of my latest pieces I've finished - hope you like them!! The chainmaille bracelet "Chains" is with 6mm rings so slightly lighter and more movement than the smaller rings.

This is some more of Hannah's handy work - I commissioned these for the special purpose of showing off these organic emeralds - isn't it pretty??

Again Hannah's discs with some of my beautiful faceted garnet - these flew out the door this morning and I have to say I've seen them worn (hello Clare!!) and they look very pretty!

Zanzibar again with Hannah's componants are with peridot handwired on handmade fine silver headpins. Very zingy looking with a fabulous swish!

Wish me luck and I'll probably be back on SUnday - busy weekend up ahead!!

Tuesday

Red

I fell in love with these beautiful beads of Lauras the minute i saw them on her blog and couldn't believe my luck when I found out I had won them!! Sometimes I get beads and know instantly what I'm going to do with them, sometimes I keep them knowing one day inspiration will strike - and not always at the most conveniant time!! These weren't ones I knew instantly but when I looked at them on Sunday I wanted to make a necklace - funny though I played around with it and finally decided she wanted to be a bracelet....... (yes the jewellery commands lol)

Suddenly I found these silver vine beads which I've had in my bead box for ages and bingo here we have Tomatoberry!! I'm really pleased with it and can show it at my party with pride on Friday

SOLD

Thank you so much to everyone who has added lovely comments about my interview here and elsewhere I really appreciate them and I know there will be some fabulous interviews in the future!

Just a quickie!

SOLD
Just to show you I have made another chainmaille bracelet (its on the website now) I love this one with even smaller rings than the last - with a tiny lotus bead for company - isn't she pretty!

I've also added Purple Haze earrings - these beauties contain beads by Caroline Hannon of CraftedGems.

I also made Beautiful earrings but sadly for you all (lol ;0)) they've sold !! The lampwork bead by Isabelle Anderson is truly that - beautiful so I really couldn't call them anything else could I now?

SOLD

Thats all from me tonight - I'm off to sit on the sofa with my poor neglected husband!

Earrings galore Part 2!

SOLD
Yes I'm still making earrings - I absolutely love these ones with the fabulous hammered discs by Hannah of Kutuu I think I will be making lots like these (Get busy Hannah) These are with little faceted black onyx and they hang beautifully!

SOLD

This second pair have texturised discs with Ruby's - yes genuine rubies aren't they gorgeous ( July birthstone!) I really need to photograph them hanging as they are beautiful.

Hasn't the weather been hot today - the cat bless him caught a beautiful blue/green dragonfly which my daughter saved - it went still and quiet and Elli cried and popped it in a funeral - thats what she called it - a little section for princesses in the lounge surronded it in jewels -"Its died Mummy" she said with tears in her big eyes (Oh I thought I wonder if Hannah can use the wings on her rolling mill - then promptly slapped myself !) Then all of a sudden about 15 mins later it started moving so bang goes my little earrings made of the wings (On silver not actually the wings!!!) but my Elli is happy - and thats what counts ;0)

Friday

Earrings galore

SOLD
I have been busy making earrings - they seem to be flying out as fast as I can make them sotodays beautys are all gemstones -" All that glitters" are beautiful Ametrine with amethyst and citrine - as you can see there are a few inclusions but I think it adds to the beauty - I'm not into perfection with my stones - I'm a more organic person but these beautys so caught my eye.

Then I made another pair with Smokey Quartz and Rose Quartz which are very posh for me but I'm so pleased for them although I had aching hands when I'd finished!! The gemstones are amazing not sure my pics show them off that well?

Thank goodness Friday is here and I can lie in tomorrow - getting up early is not my thing and luckily I have a child who likes her bed!! A glass of wine tonight or shall Imake that a G&T - first week back at school and all that ;0)

Thursday

View from a Satellite

SOLD
I've had these stunning beads by Isabelle for a couple of weeks now and I loved them so much I couldn't bring myself to make anything - I knew what to do with them but it was only yesterday when I counted up my bead sets and realised I have a bead addiction I knew it was time to make something else ;0)

My lovely friend Clare thought I should call this set Google Earth but I wasn't sure and then I realised this is the sort of sights someone in a satellite station would see - now someone is going to tell me no one lives in satellites - if so can we pretend....

I'm still busy creating here - I've made many sales and the website is looking a little threadbare so as I have a party in 8 days time ...... Luckily I bought another set of beads last night lol just to make up the set I've just used - I'm only joking (I think!!)

Pond Life!

SOLD
These cute little earrings have lilypad like flowers on them (well I can see them anyway!!) and I actually dreamt what to do with them! (and the name) do you think someone was having a laugh ;)

The pretty flowers actually look like lilypads hence the name and like the earrings I added some prehinite to the centre. This bracelet took me forever to finish as I wanted her to become a necklace so she fought and won - am I loosing my mind!! If you think I am then blame Hannah @ kutuu she asked me today how many lampwork sets I have (those I haven't created with yet) I counted eeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! You surely don't expect me to tell you that .......;0)

Tuesday

Last day of Freedom!!

SOLD

Last day before school starts - I love having Elli home with me - I love the freedom of time, I love the laughter from the garden when her friends come over to play, the bouncing of her floorboards when they dance to the music played in her bedroom, I love watching her learn and grown from bikes without stabilisers and riding the trail. Most of all I love time spent with my daughter !

SOLD

As you can see I have been making earrings - I sold a fair few this weekend and four last week so it was time to get making some more! I love making earrings especially after a morning like I've had! I've been creating a piece in my head since the lampwork arrived but what ever I did with it, for some reason or another, wouldn't work - I've wasted so much sterling silver wire you wouldn't believe ( although my scrap pot is a bottomless pit!!) But never mind my latest piece (yes its finished and yes I'll show you tomorrow!!)

SOLD
I think my muse has gone on holiday - I wonder where she has gone - somewhere exotic I hope I mean it would be a bit of a waste if she'd only gone to Newquay!!! So where would I like to visit *Jo scratched head, Mauritious, St Lucia, Antigua, somewhere where the sea is not only warm but clear and blue with golden sands......
