Nearly There!

Well the inventory for tomorrows party is all up and done - printed and sitting on my dhs desk - lets hope he remebers it!! Hopefully stock is good and there will be something for everyone - sad thing is with me I already have spent my predicted takings (well in my head!) so fingers crossed I can order the new gemstones and lampwork soon ....

The above bracelet Contemporary Pearl is one of my latest pieces got a little stuck when it came to the clasp and luckily I have a very talented friend who not only makes my little tags but also makes toggle clasps and other things - her site kutuu.com is launched today so you better go see how clever and talented she is! (She also makes fabulous jewellery ;) )

I also have made some extra earrings and pendants for tomorrow so if I get around to posting I will show you - I may not be back until Sunday though - party days can be manic - tomorrows is just up the road in my hairdressers XL so I haven't got far to travel!

Countdown!

SOLD
Countdown and all that goes with a party begins today - its where the adrenelin kicks in!! Luckily I've been able to make a ton of stuff ready and hopefully there will be something for everybody! This piece Nerja was made with the famous caves in mind - Isabelle Anderson called these Cave paintings and i wanted to keep the theme as best i could when i created these.

SOLD

The earrings are fab ( even if I do say so myself) about 1/2 " in diameter, they are elegant and eyecatching. And then I had one lone bead waiting for me to come up with something (sadly I have many lone beads waiting here but thats another story!) So I played until this pendant was created ...

I was going for the tribal look so with added swarovski crystals and pietersite - hopefully I have succeeded!

So onward with my stock taking and inventory lists and marking up - more pieces tomorrow.

Tuesday - getting ready!

SOLD

Ok before I bore you all senseless with my chainmaille this is my last piece!! of course the little lampwork bead is an Isabelle Anderson beauty!! I'm busy getting ready for my first party of the season on Saturday - there's lots to get before I'm really ready although my boxes luckily arrived today which was incredibly quick so thanks to Potters for that!

Now to finish the pendants and rings before Saturday there's always tons to do before a party and I'm a little out of sorts as my last one was 2 months ago (eek where has the time flown!!)

SOLD

The earrings I handcrafted out of fine silver and they so reminded me of rain - hopefully we won't see any for a day or two!! What do you think??

Sunday

Sun day, Sunday

Its been a beautiful day today hasn't it (well anyone in Cornwall can answer this!) and yesterday was even better - we went to Fowey - one of my favourite places. The gig racing was on as it was the end of Regatta week and it was fanstastic to watch. I'd love to live somewhere like Fowey with views over the estuary * sigh but sadly the house prices in Cornwall are horrendous and according to the papers yesterday Carrick, North Cornwall and Restormal are in the top four :(
The above pieces are part of my obsession with the flip flop weave - with Caroline Hannon of Crafted Gems beautiful lampwork beads - aren't they fabulous? The names well its because the earrings which strangely I made first reminded me of jellyfish and so the name came from that - but I think it fits don't you??

Tagged again!!

Ok as promised I'm back again with the 6 weird things about me ( I'm not very weird - I don't think anyway lol )

1. I love chocolate - adore it in fact but if you gave me white chocolate I'd be sick!

2. I'm allergic to pork - it makes me sick - but I can eat bacon and pork sausages and spare ribs - go figure!

3. My favourite plant in the garden is a Allium - if I had my way I'd fill the garden with them!

4. My favourite smell is a blown out match - give me a box and I'll play for hours :D

5. I have a box of unread books under my bed - if I read one I have to replace it or else I panic!

6. I have very warm hands and yet very cold feet - what does that mean???

OK and the bloggers I'm tagging are

Caroline - Crafted Gems

Hannah - Kutuu

Liz - The Crimson Moon

Lesley -Coburg crafts

Tam - Butterfly Beadwear

Claire - Rowanberry Glass

Ok hope that works :)

Grrrr last Nights post!

SOLD
Last night I made my post as usual and Blogger went down with no connection so I lost the lost! So today I'll make 2 posts :) - this mornings is last nights and tonight ... well I'm sure you get the drift! I think I'm getting addicted to chainmaille - well the flip flop weave anyway - of course I'm keeping this as its part of my b'day pressie but I am making more things ready for the party season.

I started making a few pendants - mainly for the parties as I'm always being asked about slightly cheaper alternatives of my jewellery for gifts and as not everyone wears earrings I thought pendants can be worn by anyone!

This one Capolino IV is a Beverley Hicklin bead and completes the Capolino range of bracelet and two sets of earrings. These can be found on the website.

This one matches the Rock Pools bracelet - another Beverley Hicklin bead - a simple and elegant pendant.

The colours are fabulous and you can see here - like a mini rockpool all of your own!

This last one is Caroline Hannon - beautiful swirls of greens and yellows on a Burgundy base. Marrooned was named as I was listening to Maroon 5 lol!

SOLD

I'll be back later with more pics and Kara of Innocent Charms blogspot has kindly tagged me
again!! As Fhi of Fhi Fhi creates also tagged me a few days ago I hope I can combine the two - so I'm off to have think - Kara I don't really think I'm weird enough rofl!!

Wednesday

Desk Tidy day !

I had two friends and their children over today and seen they were disgusted with the state of my desk I decided I would tidy it (it was due!). Its funny how some of us can only work when the desk is clear and some can work when its in a state - in fact I think I work better when its in a mess - don't ask me why because I don't know!

The above necklace was inspired by the drive down the new bypass - the view over the bay is spectacular - usually blue skies is the best - when the sea is blue and inviting. I can't remember which day it was but there was low lying clouds giving a mysterious fug to the headland and it reminded me of Isabelle's beads - mysterious.

I've been quite busy today so hope your looking forward to a few more days of new goodies!

Tuesday

What a day!

Phew I'm exhausted! My dd who is now six going on 16 (anyone with a 16 yr old is probably shaking their heads lol) threw a huge wobbly like I've never seen before, even when she was two!! I suppose her vocabulary is better but boy she lost it - she even frightened herself - this doesn't bode well for teenage years does it!!

Stormy Seas was definately our house today and this bracelet with Caroline Hannon's beautiful lampwork beads sums it up sort of - I mean today wasn't a thing of beauty yet this bracelet to me is - see I'm so tired I can't even blog straight!Jewellery party season is nearly upon us and I seem to have booked myself a fair few (2>3 a month until Christmas) so you can imagine the urgency for creating and making here! My first party on the 3rd September - and they continue from there so if you see anything you fancy, give me a shout to reserve it for you as hopefully things will begin to move quite fast!!

Bodmin Gaol

SOLD

Today with my Mum and niece and nephew, Elli and I took a trip to Bodmin Gaol -wow what a place and not far from where we live and I can't believe we haven't been there before!! Anyone who lives nearby take a trip!! We bought a book on the history but as you wander around there is loads of information on the inmates - children transported for putting stones on the railway line etc! Think we are way to soft now lol....

The necklace Moonlit Walk is my take on a Moonlit Walk on the beach - when the moon is clear and bright lighting up certain stones and pebbles on your way. Strung on Greek leather with an adjustable clasp.

Hope you like it?

Thursday

M.I.A

Sorry I've been missing in action for a few days but with my Birthday and today my baby was sixth (where has the years gone) I haven't had a lot of time ( my lovely E was away playing golf too!) on the computor! We were so lucky with the weather today as its definately been a day of sun and showers, and Jemma from The Drama Experiance, did a fantastic job keeping the children entertained (and then the children entertained us!)

The piece of jewellery shown above is chainmaille - it is in fact my first ever piece because although I admire chainmaille I have to say I find it very regimented for me (personal taste) until my friend Jennifer Casady tempted me with her flip flop weave and oh boy now I'm hooked!! Go take a look at Jen's beautiful and elegant jewellery - I dare you not to be tempted! I already had intrest for more bracelets (this one is mine though!!) so watch this space!

More Jewellery tomorrow and a big Thank YOU to everyone that helped make my baby girls birthday special :)

Twelve hours left ....

SOLD
Twelve more hours of being *cough thirty *cough something * cough before graduating in to another year older and before all you wise ones think I'm forty I'm not got another *cough few years left before the big 40 lol!! I will be celebrating my birthday with my lovely Mum and my gorgeous daughter who a the age of 5 yrs,11 months and 28 days pulled out the dyson and hoovered the lounge while Mummy ( embarassed moment) was finishing her new bracelet (pictures in the next few days) then she went out and picked in the washing as it was starting to drizzle - so who wants to hire her!!!

This necklace is a commission for a lady going to a friends wedding in Italy, the Artisan beads are beautiful with flashes of yellow and palest blue, Mary Parker has truly mastered boro!

I can't decide whether to go and do the ironing now or crawl into bed with my daughter (who always takes the place of missing parent - E is off playing golf - yes I know its my birthday tomorrow!) and read my latest Jilly Cooper book Wicked, the reviews were awful and apert from some of the characters being incrediably young and somewhat unbelievable, at the same its not a bad read - then again maybe I read trash too much!!

Back again!!

SOLD

Great name for a bracelet especially as its how I feel (with added tiredness)!! Claire of Rowanberry Glass beads made these little beauties and I instantly fell in love with them. I made this bracelet for Jan whose birthday it was on Friday - a very special lady who is more like my sister and my friend.

Camping is fun in the sun!! I decided this past week - yes I've been camping in Woolacombe in our caravan - pics tomorrow I hope! WE went with friends and we had such a giggle - in fact belly laughs, the sort of laughter that clears the head and bubbles in your tummy! Whizzzing down hills on childrens ride- on cars and all sorts (well it was funny then!!)

Of course after a week of ice cream and G&T's a diet is a must - although this week is pretty hectic so may the diet wait until next week!!

OH and fab news my dd can ride a bike without stabilisers *jumping up and down smilie needed here!! She taught herself and Mummy is so proud!! She's six on Thursday :D
